Opportunity: To develop three distinct environments that reflect local culture and interests for InterContinental’s hotel destinations.
Solution: Created three different IHG branded experiences and a set of guidelines for each that captured local culture for families that are staying at an Intercontinental hotel. The “Inspiration Space” is a open studio lounge environment where adults can lounge, read, surf the web and take arts and crafts courses taught by local artisans. The “Fireside” opens up the outdoors with a comfortable landscaped environment that provides a space for families to gather and learn about local culture through IHG’s special programs. Developed for children the “Kid Zone” takes advantage of the ICH branded kids education program and has a wide range of entertainment ranging from an “Internet and gaming cave” to a mini water park for kids to enjoy.
